Home Stretches and Core Strengthening

As we relieve pain and improve spinal alignment, ranges of motion usually increase; however, many patients also require increasing flexibility of key muscle groups to change chronically tight muscles.We instruct our patients on home stretches and exercises to reach our flexibility targets.When pain levels have diminished we instruct on an abdominal and back extensor program.As the patient gains strength, we may teach more difficult exercises custom tailored to each patient.This will have a positive impact on posture, pain relief and injury prevention.
